Just a little note. I opened a long position in the EUR/CAD on 20 October. Once again the market turned against me. My trading account was wiped out. I no longer update this blog. It doesn’t make any sense. I take a (long) meditation pause. Goodby trading!
20 October 2014 – EUR/CAD – A new long position
Daily EUR/CAD candlestick chart. On 17 October the daily candle had a lower shadow which touched the (ex) medium term down trend line. A perfect pull back (to the static support too: a perfect confluence). Today the daily candle has closed higher than the previous candle. The low has been higher too. So the pull back is completed, for my point of view: I’ve decided to open a new long position in the EUR/CAD.
About my blog’s categories
So far this blog has five categories:
- About blogging. Little notes about how I manage this blog. I have used this category for the first time when I changed the theme of my WordPress blog.
- Forex technical analysis. This kind of post is my favourite. I analyse the market with very simple tools: mainly support and resistance (which I draw by myself) and candlestick patterns. My trading idea is to keep all the trading stuff as simple as possible.
- Forex trader life. Posts about events of my life which can impact my blog’s writing, such as the one I’ve written when I went on holiday for ten days.
- Forex trading plan. I write this kind of post when I open or when I close a trade. I try to explain why I open or close a trading position.
- Traders psychology. Fear and greed (and other emotions) affect negatively traders. I write this kind of post when I’m overwhelmed by my feelings. Sometimes I’ve even suicidal thoughts…
17 October 2014 – EUR/CAD – Pull back in progress
Daily EUR/CAD candlestick chart. On 16 October I closed my long position in the EUR/CAD, with a good gain. The daily candle was a Spinnig Top, an indecision pattern. On 17 October the daily candle had a lower shadow (aka wick) which touched the (ex) medium term down trend line. A perfect pull back, for the moment.
10 October 2014 – EUR/AUD – Testing the resistance
Daily EUR/AUD candlestick chart. On 10 October I closed my long position in the EUR/USD. It seems that I was wrong. On 16 October the price movement has pierced the static resistance, with the daily close at 1,4624. The next daily candle was an Inside Bar. If the penetration is confirmed, I’ll be able to draw a new up trend line …
17 October 2014 – EUR/USD – A new short term up trend line
Daily EUR/USD candlestick chart. On 13 October I closed my short position in the EUR/USD, in loss. I was right. On 15 October the daily candle (a long bullish candle) closed above the last lower swing high, so I was able to draw a new short term up trend line. The medium term down trend line is still intact. The market is now in consolidation mood: the last two candles are Inside Bars …
17 October 2014 – EUR/JPY – Testing the static support
Daily EUR/JPY candlestick chart. On 14 October the EUR/JPY pierced the static support at (about) 135,7 with a (nearly) long bearish candle with the daily close at 135,482. On 14 October the daily candle was an inside bar (aka Engulfing pattern), on 15 October the daily candle was an amazing Hammer with a very long wick (aka Pin Bar). An incredible Inside Bar False Break. The last daily candle was a Spinning Top, with the daily close above the static support. A very complex test of the static support …
17 October 2014 – EUR/GBP – A wide flat market
Daily EUR/GBP candlestick chart. Last week the EUR/GBP tested the static resistance at (about) 0,7873, without breaking it. This week the currency pair has broken the static resistance (now support) at 0,7873 and has reached the static resistance at (about) 0,8033. The last static resistance has limited the price movement. It doesn’t make any sense to draw the (ex) medium term down trend line: I’ve erased it. Now the market is flat. I’m waiting for a Price Action on the supports.
16 October 2014 – EUR/CAD – I’ve just closed my long position: a good gain
Daily EUR/CAD candlestick chart. Today I’ve closed the long position in the EUR/CAD I’ve opened on 22 September. Yesterday the price movement broke the medium term down trend line (the short term down trend line lo longer exists), today the daily candle is a Spinning Top (an indecision pattern), so I’ve decided to close the long position (with a large gain). I’m waiting for a pull back on the (ex) medium term down trend line.
14 October 2014 – EUR/JPY – I’ve just closed the long position: a new loss
Daily EUR/JPY candlestick chart. Today I’ve closed the long position in the EUR/JPY that I opened yesterday, because of the daily close under the static support (now resistance). A new loss.
